The 2G Spectrum Scam: Infographic

13th February, 2011

Browsing through the interwebz has it’s advantages. Like finding videos of cute kittens doing cute things (and then blogging about it!). Or going into an endless loop of Ricky Gervais videos as he plunders through inappropriate jokes and awkward situations like it was just another sunny day.

Who, you ask?

Tch tch tch. Oh you poor souls not knowing the cool things in life.

[Note: I found out just yesterday. Thank you Adi!]

Anyhoo, I did find an interesting infographic on Tehelka’s website. About the 2G scam. Remember? The A. Raja jokes and the Niira Radia tapes and then the more important argument about Anushka Sharma’s unbelievable waistline? Seriously. That waist is NOT human!

Scam? What scam? Oh crap right. The 2G Scam. Haan.

Without any background score by A.R. Rahman or famous orchestra from some random First World nation, I present: The 2G Spectrum Scam Infographic!

Interesting. Do you have it in a wall poster format?
And Anushka, yes, the resident “Punjabi” girl in Hindi movies. Though the smile needs a bit tuning down.

Nope – that’s all I could find! You can, however, print it out on a A4 paper.

Anushka Anushka oh Anushka. Did you see Patiala House? If you did, tch tch, and if you havent, let it be known to the general public at large that you have been warned!

Nah…I hardly watch any Hindi movies unless and until its different and especially good eg Peepli Live, Well Done Abba etc etc
Patiala House? Won’t even think about it

Ah.. what a nice script!!! I can give a title – “Who sold my spectrum?” aka WSMS… we missed a golden chance of bagging oscars this time… shall we try this for next year with an item number from Anushka probably?

Directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Ram Gopal Verma? Starring Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and, in an item number, Anushka Sharma?

Only Rajnikanth can save such a film!

Whoa. They managed a typo in the infographic. The timeline suggested in bottom right part is incorrect. It had to be November, 2010.

Time to hire a proof-reader, Tehelka?

After hearing Mr. Tejapal at the Jaipur Lit Festival and what he had to say about the 2Gscam and why Tehlka didn’t break the news, I would rather watch Patiala House. Which btw I did and liked it too!!

Patty; show loyalty towards your country & community GO WATCH THE MOVIE. Its defi better than watching a sidey film like Pyaar Impossible and you bunked college to watch it, remember!

@Vishal, if HT & TOI can have errors in the heading of a anchor or a lead story ( repeatedly) then less said the better about media hiring proof readers or sub-eds

Really? What did Tarun Tejpal say?

    • 14th February, 2011 9:40 PM

Indeed. Earlier, I used to attribute such problems only to live media. Print has gotten worse.

How he was one of the first to be approached with the tapes. And though the one who got them was known to him, yet he couldn’t trust him enough to break the story “because the source was not willing to reveal his source”. Yet glorifying about how Tehlka unleashes the scams and believes in being on top that just a mere me too. Etc etc etc…
