Who Cares?

17th July, 2011

Who cares?

The world is not perfectly round,

Bulgy at the equator and squished at the poles.

As long as long as black gold is found,

Who cares, mister, about all its tolls?

People get up to find their life taken away,

Genocide, tsunami, opium, it’s all the same.

It’s only the trees that refuse to sway.

Why should you care when you’re chasing your fame?

Girls are killed before they open their eye,

Even if they do, they’re told to keep them shut.

This is a man’s world, you must remain shy.

The problem isn’t me, it’s those who don’t make the cut.

This Friday saw the release of Harry Potter,

But if the waitress didn’t serve you your drink,

You got up, took out your gun and just shot her.

So? I got my movie ticket, I don’t see any link.

I live in this world: sick and inhumane.

Right and wrong are words nobody wears.

I don’t have time to stop, I have to catch the train.

Because you see, mister, nobody cares.

Poet Ji, the Harry Potter para killed it.

But I’m impressed with the Poetry. I can’t rhyme for NUTS!

YOU! You have now been banished from writing any comment other than negative to neutral. No nice words, no more! NO!

    Theatre-sheatre and now this? Wahh…

And not uncaring but hardening of soul. Because only the fittest survive.

Ahem. Itna bhi nahi! This poem got spider-monkeyed in trying to rhyme!

But hey, if there’s praise coming my way: why not? Hehe! Thanks!
